However, so far no one had yet found a way of showing the idea of the contradictory nature of life as a form of theory.

We are interested in developing emancipatory and inclusional attitudes and practices in educational research. Because we are committed to inclusion and diversity, we promote inclusion and diversity and speak in inclusional terms. Not everyone holds this view however. It is important also to remember that each type of theory can be understood in terms of its content and form (which ideas it contains and how they are presented), and each is informed by particular logics and values. These points are often overlooked in the mainstream literatures of educational research.

Living educational action researchers believe that their theories constantly need revisiting and reforming as the circumstances of their lives change, so their theories are always in a state of live modification. However, many people in the educational research community continue to believe that there is one ‘correct’ way of thinking, and one ‘correct’ form of theory. This idea is anything but correct.
